You have heard the saying “Teamwork makes the dream work.”
Building my team has allowed me to focus on what matters the most in my business. Our system allows each of my team members do what they do best.
Here are three things that fire me up about my team:
We work well together
Everyone on the team has a specific function that allows them to do what they are really good at doing. We work well together and compliment each other’s strengths/weaknesses.
Me: vision gal who comes up with all of the crazy ideas
Amanda, Business Manager/Right Hand Gal: makes sure all of the pieces are working together and that the clock is running smoothly.
Charissa, Director of Happiness: is the gal that makes sure the gears are at peak performance. She ensures our clients and students are taken care of. She also makes sure that all of our external communications are set up and sent out weekly.
Irene, Graphic Design/Web Design Extraordinaire: creates everything visually to make our brand stunning and cohesive.
Kayli, Content Creation Genie: who writes the words so I can deliver them with fun and ease instead of how my brain spits them out.
Jenna, Video Editor: who edits all of our YouTube videos and makes sure they are on brand in collaboration with Irene.
Lauren, Creative Director of Photography: takes photos every month for all of our visual needs.
We stay organized
Asana is where we share our Progress Board which has current work and 30-60-90 day ‘lists’. These help the team see what is coming up, what tasks work with others, and helps them see where they can get ahead.
We communicate clearly
We are consistently getting feedback from team members in our team calls. Each team member tells us what went great and what could have been better over the last month (or after each major project). This helps us evolve and tweak our processes.
Slack has been amazing for our team. We all jump on, collaborate and give instant feedback. And one of the best parts – we stay out of inboxes!
We have monthly team meetings and an annual virtual team retreat which always boosts our team morale and productivity.
